We are pleased to announce that as of July 1st 2019, we will be part of the SCI Gateway referral pathway. This will ensure Carers, who have been identified in their GP Practice are referred to us to access information and support.
This will help Carers be identified and supported as early as possible, be connected to the right services, prevent a breakdown in their caring role and hopefully improve their health and wellbeing.
The Carers Act commenced on the 1st April, 2018. This means, by law Carers and Young Carers are recognised and supported to enable them to continue in their caring role, if they wish to do so, in good health and have a good quality of life alongside their caring role.
